Huge thanks to everyone who contributed to our Club fundraising last Friday in support of the ‘BBC Children in Need’ appeal.

We had a fantastic team match between 18 of our club players, placed in 2 balanced teams, (Pudsey Red & Pudsey Blue) playing continuously for approx 3 hours for the Pudsey Team Cup, with some sparkling squash!
The final match result was very close with only 13 points separating both teams, with Pudsey Red winning with a total of 736 team points (vs 723 points for the blues!).
So well done to all our club players who took part:
Alison Goy, Chris HBourne, Ian Goy, Ian Huskinson, James Nelson, James Weeks, Laurence Hooper, Luke VanHegan, Mark Punglia, Mike Plant, Nick Brewin, Noah Duckworth, Paul Hill, Pete McGavin, Richard Chubb, Richard Plant, Simon McCaldin.
The final total amount raised from our event this year, from both the Club ‘Just Giving’ link and cash collected on the night, including gift aid is an incredible,

£958.75

… our best result ever, and every penny raised is going to ‘BBC Children in Need’, where it really will make a difference!
A superb result from our community squash club, thanks again for everyones generosity in contributing to the success of the event.
A major club event like this takes time in planning and behind the scenes preparation, so thank you specifically to Brian Collishaw, Pete McGavin, for help with administration and logistics, Adrian Furlonger for preparing the player rankings, using squash levels, and other members of the Club committee for their ongoing support.
